Erica Reder

Associate - Grants

My role at Hirsch:

I provide grants management and systems administration to create efficient and professional experiences for our community partners and philanthropists.

My journey to Hirsch:

Prior to joining Hirsch, I was a Grants Specialist at the Tides Foundation, where I administered high-volume grants on behalf of philanthropic partners. I also developed and refined complex processes, building on previous operations and administration experience at several nonprofit and human services organizations. I hold an M.T.S. from Harvard Divinity School and a B.A. in History from Yale University.

What inspires my work:

I have devoted my career to serving organizations that improve lives at both individual and systems levels. It’s gratifying to continue that commitment at Hirsch, where our philanthropic partners make a major impact across many essential community issues. I grew up in San Francisco, and it is especially meaningful to contribute to work that uplifts the vibrancy of this region and builds more equitable opportunities for those who call it home.

In my free time:

On weekends, I enjoy the Bay Area’s abundant opportunities to be in nature and eat delicious food. I also love to read novels from my local San Francisco Public Library branch.
