Susan Ketcham
My role at Hirsch:
I support financial planning and operations at Hirsch Philanthropy Partners. The focus of my work is helping the firm grow and thrive and providing strategic support to our client teams.
My journey to Hirsch:
Prior to joining Hirsch, I was a Chief Financial Officer in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. Most recently, I was the C.F.O. of the Hewlett Foundation at a time when it doubled its assets and giving. Early in my career, I was a social worker serving people experiencing housing insecurity, which has remained an issue I am deeply passionate about. I hold an M.B.A. from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in History from Tufts University.
What inspires my work:
I was drawn to Hirsch Philanthropy because of the team’s impressive work spearheading public-private partnerships. These collaborations can move the needle on complex issues facing our communities and lead to lasting change.
In my free time:
On weekends, you’ll find me playing my favorite team sport: singing choral music and spirituals. I also love making salads from the garden.
