Adrienne Bousian, a senior director at philanthropic advisory Hirsch and Associates, said she is working with clients to allocate resources in more collaborative and impactful ways by incorporating community input.

“Dramatic under-funding of organizations led by and for people of color necessitates thinking about risk differently and considering the risk in not investing in organizations, the risk of perpetuating racism and upholding systems that aren’t working for people,” Bousian said.
